Valerie Mulholland

Valerie is a Certified Master Trainer who specialises in creating and delivering compliance training programmes. She is particularly skilled at delivering training when the message is 'sensitive' or 'difficult'. She specialises in error reduction and behaviour modification, as well as behavior-based compliance training, which connects GMP training to quality culture.Valerie has over 20 years of experience auditing suppliers, service providers, API, finished pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers, contract manufacturers and laboratories, and aseptic operations.
She audits throughout Europe and internationally as a consultant auditor for clients such as SQA SERVICES in the United States. Valerie can help a facility prepare for an audit by providing on-the-ground mentoring, coaching less experienced auditors to improve the quality of audits performed, and coaching auditees and SME's in audit presentation.
Valerie is also a PhD researcher and Lecturer with the Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Science Team at TUDublin. Her research focuses on the effectiveness of quality risk management, with a particular emphasis on risk-based decision making.

Aidan O Donovan

Director of Digital Transformation and eLearning at GMP Service

Aidan has been the director of GMP Services since 1997. A background in electronic engineering with over 30 years of project management of both hardware and software projects supporting the evolution of technology enabled learning at University College Cork.
Aidan has always been fascinated by technology and the opportunities it provides for democratising education. Aidan is currently a member of the European Digital Education Hub. A group focused on creating a digital education ecosystem to ensure that all citizens have access to high-quality inclusive education and learning.
Between 2011 and 2021 Aidan was a member of the Digital Education Advisory Group, at University College Cork. The Digital Education Advisory group is a multidisciplinary team set up to assist and guide technology-enabled learning at University College Cork, with the following goals.
• To further development of blended and distance learning programmes.
• To provide a flexible, challenging and responsive learning environment.
• To use technology to both, assure and enhance quality in learning and teaching.
• To support students and staff to adapt and adopt new enabling technologies.
This team was instrumental in preparing for and guiding University College Cork's actions following the Lockdown of 2020, providing channels for communications and feedback between all of the stakeholders.
